As Janne announced he has left Chromatic Dark. Janne had a great influence on the band, and we want to thank for all the great work he did for us and wish all the best for him. During the years there have been many changes in our lineup and this is again one of those stopping moments. Nevertheless, Chromatic Dark goes on, make new music and start to look for a new guitar player. This might take some time, but don't you worry, we are still here!

Breaking news: I have moved to southern Finland away from Oulu and been thinking about all of the possibilities to still be a member of Chromatic Dark. I've found out that there is no good ways to continue as a "full member" and my way is not the way of doing things in half steam. At the moment I have no band projects ongoing but I'm pretty confident that I will come up with something good and new some day. I want to thank the other guys of CD for these years and all the people that have been following our doings during the years.

Chromatic Dark from Oulu, Finland, have released their fourth promotional EP, titled 'Inhuman Conviction'. If I didn't know it was them, when I first listened to this, I would haven't guessed it in a million tries. This five-piece band have matured.

Chromatic Dark comes from Oulu, Northern Finland. Their music is a versatile mixture of aggressiveness and melody. The biggest influences come from thrash and death genre. The band was founded in 2003. So far Chromatic Dark has released four self-published EP recordings: Obsidious (2006), Hateballads 2008 (2008), Fractures (2009) and Inhuman Conviction in year 2011.

The songs for their newest promotional EP "Inhuman Conviction" were recorded in Oulu in several locations during three months in spring 2011. Then the tracks were sent to studio for further processing and the final product became ready in the end of May. Powerful sounds were achieved making honour for the new songs that are more aggressive and mean than ever before in band's back catalogue.

For the bands freshly baked EP the band strives to get as wide following and media coverage as possible. The hunt for new gigs and recording deal has begun. Also the writing of new songs for the first full length album has started.
